Immerse yourself in the ground combat of the Universal Century with the E.F.G.F. Anti-MS Squad Set, a 1/35 scale model kit from Bandai’s U.C. Hard Graph range. This collection takes a particularly realistic and military approach to the Mobile Suit Gundam universe, this time focusing on the soldiers of the Earth Federation Ground Force tasked with directly confronting Zeon’s formidable Mobile Suits. 

The kit depicts a full squad of five Earth Federation soldiers: a commander, three anti-MS specialists and a support gunner. Each figure is reproduced at 1/35 scale in a dynamic pose, with detailed work on the uniforms, equipment, facial expressions and weaponry to achieve a look reminiscent of a traditional military model kit. 

The centrepiece of the kit is the M-101A3 Regina, a heavy guided missile system specially designed to enable infantry to combat Mobile Suits. The set also includes various military weapons and accessories such as an assault rifle, a support machine gun, grenades, missiles, radio equipment and various items of personal kit. 

To enhance the spectacular nature of the diorama, Bandai has included an imposing arm from the RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type, built to a scale of 1/35. Its mechanical structure, internal framework, joints and armour components are rendered with an exceptionally high level of detail. Combined with the five soldiers, it creates a realistic battle scene that immediately highlights the vast difference in scale between a human and a Mobile Suit. 

The parts are moulded in several colours, and the kit also includes decals as well as materials for recreating certain weapon straps. As with detailed military models, the use of paint, patina and weathering techniques further enhances the realism of the diorama and the figures. (Hlj)

During the One Year War, the emergence of the Principality of Zeon’s Mobile Suits profoundly disrupted traditional methods of combat. Faced with these gigantic machines and their firepower, the Earth Federation developed infantry units specialising in anti-Mobile Suit warfare. These squads make particular use of the M-101A3 Regina, a heavy guided weapon designed to give ordinary soldiers the ability to neutralise a Mobile Suit from the ground. 

The U.C. Hard Graph range brings the world of Mobile Suit Gundam to life through the aesthetic of realistic military models. By placing human soldiers and their equipment in the foreground, this set offers a different perspective on the Universal Century war: the 1/35-scale arm of the Gundam Ground Type alone highlights the colossal dimensions of the Mobile Suits and enables the creation of particularly immersive dioramas centred on the Federation’s ground battles.
