Origin and world of the character
Bourriquet (Eeyore) is an old anthropomorphic fictional grey stuffed donkey created in 1926 by the British writer Alan Alexander Milne, then popularised by the Disney studio adaptations. Residing in the Forest of Blue Dreams alongside Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet, he is characterised by his melancholy, pessimistic temperament and his annoying tendency to misplace his tail, which is attached by a simple drawing pin. The concept behind the 'Whittled' range is a visual tribute to traditional craftsmanship, with textures of streaks and veins applied to the PVC to imitate woodcarving.- *
