The Frieza Saga is set primarily on the planet Namek and is one of the foundational story arcs of Dragon Ball Z. Following the events involving the Saiyans, several heroes set out in search of the Dragon Balls on Namek in order to revive their allies who have fallen in battle.
They soon find themselves facing Frieza, a feared galactic tyrant who is also seeking to gather the Dragon Balls in order to achieve immortality. His army, his numerous transformations and his overwhelming power make him one of the most dangerous adversaries Goku and his companions have ever faced.
This arc also marks a pivotal moment in Goku’s evolution, with the introduction of the Super Saiyan transformation, which has since become one of the most iconic images in the entire franchise.
