Krillin is rendered in the collection’s signature Pop! style, with an oversized head, large black eyes and a stylised body. His shaved head, the six marks visible on his forehead and his combat outfit make the famous Earthling instantly recognisable.

This version is directly inspired by his appearance on the planet Namek. It completes the series of figurines dedicated to the Frieza saga, alongside Son Goku, Son Gohan and the various fighters involved in the battle against the galactic tyrant.

Character background and lore

Krillin is one of Son Goku’s oldest companions. He meets Goku when they both become Master Roshi’s pupils and undergo particularly gruelling training in order to take part in the World Martial Arts Tournament.

Initially portrayed as a cunning and sometimes jealous rival, Krillin quickly becomes Goku’s best friend. Despite lacking Saiyan powers, he develops a remarkable mastery of martial arts and remains one of the most powerful human fighters on Earth.

After the battle against Vegeta and Nappa, Krillin accompanies Bulma and Son Gohan to the planet Namek. Their aim is to find the Namekian Dragon Balls in order to bring Piccolo and the other fallen defenders back to life.

On Namek, Krillin must evade Frieza’s forces whilst searching for the seven spheres. He helps rescue Dende, meets the Grand Elder of the Namekians and sees some of his latent potential unlocked, which significantly increases his power.

Faced with the arrival of the Ginyu Force, Krillin and Gohan form a temporary alliance with Vegeta. Although they remain less powerful than their opponents, their cooperation and determination enable them to buy time until Goku arrives.

Krillin has mastered several signature techniques, notably the Kienzan, or Destructive Disc. This attack concentrates his energy into a razor-sharp disc capable of threatening opponents far more powerful than himself.

During the final battle against Frieza, Krillin supports Goku, Gohan and Piccolo despite the vast disparity in power. His death at the hands of the tyrant enrages Goku and triggers his first transformation into a Super Saiyan.

The Frieza Saga thus represents a major milestone in Krillin’s journey. It highlights his courage, his loyalty and his ability to keep fighting even when facing enemies far superior to himself.
