Awaken the mysterious guardian of Shinra Manor from his long slumber with this Adorable Arts figurine of Vincent Valentine, inspired by his appearance in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Produced by Square Enix, it captures the famous marksman in a compact, stylised format, whilst retaining his red cape, black hair, golden armour and Cerberus pistol.

Vincent is depicted with a deliberately enlarged head and a thick mane of black hair with grey highlights. The numerous spiky strands fan out around his face and cascade down his back, creating a full silhouette despite the range’s scaled-down proportions.

His face is distinguished by particularly vivid red eyes, framed by a scarlet headband. His expression remains calm and impassive, in keeping with the character’s reserved nature. The lower part of his face is partially hidden behind the raised collar of his cape.

The long red cloak is one of the main elements of the composition. It covers her shoulders, falls almost to the ground and ends in an irregular hem. Several silver-coloured metal fastenings secure the garment at the front, whilst the sculpted folds lend volume to the whole.

The black outfit worn beneath the cloak features numerous belts, straps and buckles. Vincent also wears highly detailed golden armour on his legs, as well as an imposing metal gauntlet on his left arm, ending in claw-like fingers. These elements contrast sharply with the black of the costume and the red of the cape.

In his main pose, Vincent holds his Cerbère pistol vertically in his right hand. The weapon has a black and silver finish, with several mechanical details visible on the barrel and grip. A holster is attached to his right thigh, completing his marksman’s kit. The visuals provided by BEM’S confirm the armed pose, the red cape, the gold armour and the large black base.

Interchangeable parts also allow Vincent to be displayed in a seated pose, a stance that directly evokes his silent demeanour and his long rest in the depths of the Shinra Mansion.

Character’s origin and background

Vincent Valentine is a mysterious marksman whom Cloud and his companions discover in a coffin situated beneath the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim. He introduces himself as a security guard and spends long periods in a self-induced slumber. Square Enix describes him as a man cloaked in red, possessing monstrous genes and secretly linked to Sephiroth.

Prior to the events of Final Fantasy VII, Vincent was a member of the Turks, Shinra’s special operations and investigation unit. He was tasked with monitoring the scientific project being conducted in Nibelheim by the researchers Gast Faremis, Hojo and Lucrecia Crescent.

Vincent developed feelings for Lucrecia, but she chose to remain with Hojo and took part in the experiments surrounding Sephiroth’s birth. When Vincent attempted to oppose the scientist’s methods, Hojo shot him and used his body to conduct further experiments.

These treatments profoundly altered Vincent. They granted him abnormal longevity as well as the ability to transform into various monstrous creatures. Lucrecia then intervened to stabilise his body using the Protomateria, but Vincent saw his survival as a punishment for having been unable to prevent the events.

Overwhelmed by guilt, he locked himself away in a coffin beneath the Shinra Mansion. His slumber represents a form of self-imposed exile: Vincent seeks not so much to rest as to condemn himself for the mistakes he attributes to his own weakness.

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Cloud and his companions wake him whilst exploring Nibelheim. Vincent is initially wary and refuses to leave his post, but revelations concerning Sephiroth, Hojo and Shinra’s research force him to re-examine his past.

He specialises primarily in firearms, and more specifically the Cerberus, a three-barrelled pistol that has become one of his most recognisable accessories. His fighting style combines long-range accuracy, mobility and bestial transformations brought about by scientific experiments.

His golden, clawed left arm is not merely a decorative piece of armour. It serves as a visual reminder of the alterations his body has undergone and his permanent connection to the creatures he can become. His red cape and sombre silhouette also reinforce his appearance as a character straddling the line between man, gothic vampire and laboratory monster.

Despite his aloof demeanour, Vincent is not indifferent to the fate of the world. His silence conceals a deep sense of guilt, but also a determination to right the wrongs caused by the decisions made by Hojo and Lucrecia. His opposition to Sephiroth and Shinra thus becomes a way of finally confronting a past he had tried to bury.

The seated pose featured in this Adorable Arts figure directly evokes his stillness within the Shinra mansion, whilst the display with Cerberus depicts the warrior who has agreed to take up arms once more. The two configurations therefore encapsulate the character’s main facets: the silent guardian trapped by his regrets, and the supernatural marksman ready to face the consequences of Shinra’s experiments.
