FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE - Sephiroth - Adorabel Arts 13cm

Add the legendary SOLDIER with long silver hair to your collection with this Adorable Arts figurine of Sephiroth, inspired by his appearance in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Produced by Square Enix, this stylised figure combines compact, expressive proportions with the character’s most iconic features: his long black cloak, metallic shoulder guards, the Masamune and his black wing.

Sephiroth is depicted with a deliberately enlarged head and large turquoise eyes. His face displays a calm and confident expression, almost a smile, which contrasts with the threat he poses in the Final Fantasy VII universe. His long silver hair is one of the most intricately crafted elements of the sculpture. Two strands frame his face, whilst the rest of his hair falls generously down his back and spreads out to the sides. The figurine features his signature black outfit, comprising a long, open coat, straps criss-crossing across the chest and several belts adorned with silver buckles. Two large metallic shoulder guards cover the upper part of his arms, whilst silver bracelets, black gloves, dark trousers and high boots complete his uniform.

Sephiroth is accompanied by the Masamune, his famous sword with an exceptionally long blade. The golden hilt and dark handle are reproduced in a scale suited to the figure’s proportions. In the standard display, the character can hold the weapon at his side, with the blade extending behind him.

Additional parts allow you to alter his pose and recreate hisOne-Winged Angel appearance. A large black wing attaches to his back, featuring several rows of sculpted feathers. Sephiroth can then raise one hand whilst holding the Masamune out in front of him, creating a more spectacular composition directly inspired by his most famous imagery.

Character background and universe

Sephiroth is one of the main antagonists in the Final Fantasy VII universe. Before becoming a threat to the planet, he was regarded as the most powerful and famous member of SOLDAT, the Shinra Corporation’s elite unit.

His physical abilities, mastery of combat and military exploits earned him an almost legendary reputation. Many young fighters, including Cloud Strife, grew up admiring his career and dreaming of joining SOLDIER themselves.

Sephiroth wields the Masamune, a sword whose blade far exceeds that of conventional weapons. His strength and precision allow him to use it with disconcerting ease, despite its length and unusual balance.

His story is closely linked to the scientific experiments conducted by Shinra. Before his birth, he was exposed to Jenova cells, a life form discovered by the company’s researchers and initially believed to belong to the ancient Cetra people.

Sephiroth grew up unaware of the true nature of these experiments. During a mission to Nibelheim, he discovered documents concerning his birth and Professor Hojo’s work. Isolated in the Shinra mansion, he gradually misinterpreted this information and came to regard Jenova as his mother.

This revelation causes a profound rupture. Sephiroth rejects his former identity as a hero, burns Nibelheim to the ground and sets out to retrieve Jenova from the reactor at Mount Nibel. The incident becomes a defining moment for Cloud, Tifa and several other characters.

In Final Fantasy VII Remake, Sephiroth appears before Cloud on several occasions, sometimes in the form of visions that are difficult to distinguish from reality. He exploits the young mercenary’s traumatic memories and encourages him to question his own perception of events.

His influence gradually extends beyond the confines of Midgar. Whilst Cloud and his companions battle Shinra and attempt to protect the planet, Sephiroth seeks to draw them towards a future where the rules appear to be malleable. The remake thus presents his role in a new light, whilst retaining his connection to Cloud, Jenova and the fate of the planet.

The black wing has become one of the visual symbols most closely associated with Sephiroth. It evokes his title as the One-Winged Angel, his transformation and his definitive separation from humanity. In this figurine, it also provides a striking contrast to his silver hair and his all-black uniform.

The two configurations offered by Square Enix effectively capture the character’s key facets. Without the wing, Sephiroth appears as the former elite SOLDIER, calm and in perfect command of his weapon. With his wing spread and the Masamune drawn, he takes on the appearance of the legendary antagonist, driven by a destiny that transcends that of Shinra and his former comrades.
