FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE - Aerith Gainsborough - Adorabel Arts 11cm

Add the florist from the Midgar slums to your collection with this Adorable Arts figurine of Aerith Gainsborough, inspired by her appearance in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Produced by Square Enix, it captures one of the game’s most iconic characters in a compact and expressive style, whilst retaining her pink dress, red jacket and long metal staff.

Aerith is depicted with a deliberately enlarged head and large emerald-green eyes. Her gentle expression and slight smile reflect her warm personality, whilst the simplified proportions of the Adorable Arts range emphasise her kind-hearted appearance.

Her long brown hair is styled into a thick plait that cascades down her back. Several wavy strands frame her face, and a wide pink ribbon is tied at the back of her head. Small pink bows also hold the lower section of the plait in place.

The figurine features her signature outfit from *Final Fantasy VII Remake*. Aerith wears a long pale pink dress adorned with a row of buttons, a ribbon at the waist and a more prominent decorative trim near the hem. A short red jacket, several colourful bracelets and black ankle boots complete the outfit.

In her main display pose, her metal staff is positioned diagonally behind her body. The long, silver weapon serves as a reminder that Aerith is not limited to a support role: she can use her magical abilities whilst defending herself from a distance during battles.

Interchangeable parts allow you to recreate her famous prayer pose. This second configuration replaces the open-faced expression with one showing her eyes closed, and brings her hands together in front of her.

Character background and universe

Aerith Gainsborough is a young florist who lives in the slums of Sector 5 in Midgar. She meets Cloud Strife after the explosion of Mako Reactor No. 1 and gives him a flower, a simple gesture that becomes one of the first links between their journeys.

Aerith belongs to the Cetra, also known as the Ancients, a people who share a special connection with the planet. She can perceive voices and phenomena that most of Midgar’s inhabitants are unable to understand.

This background makes her a key target for the Shinra Company. Professor Hojo wishes to study her abilities and utilise her heritage to locate the Promised Land, a place the company hopes to exploit for its mako resources.

Despite the dangers surrounding her, Aerith retains a lively, curious and often teasing personality. She is able to disarm Cloud with her humour, whilst carefully observing the wounds and worries he tries to hide.

In battle, she primarily acts as a mage and support character. Her staff allows her to attack from a distance, whilst her abilities enhance spells, heal her companions or create zones that boost the effectiveness of magic.

Her relationship with flowers also plays a symbolic role. In a city dominated by metal structures and mako extraction, Aerith manages to cultivate a garden in the abandoned church in Sector 5. This space represents a rare fragment of nature in the heart of Midgar.

The praying pose recreated by the interchangeable parts echoes the game’s opening sequence. Aerith appears there kneeling before a mako leak, her hands clasped and her eyes closed, before heading out into the illuminated streets of Midgar. Square Enix specifically designed the accessories for this figurine to recreate this iconic image.

Aerith then joins Cloud, Tifa, Barret and the members of Avalanche in their fight against Shinra. Her role, however, quickly extends beyond the political conflict surrounding the reactors: she realises that the planet itself is threatened by Sephiroth and the forces linked to Jenova.

In Final Fantasy VII Remake, Aerith sometimes seems to perceive events that the other characters are not yet aware of. Her words and reactions suggest that she has a special connection with destiny, the planet’s memories and the changes introduced in this new version of the story.

This Adorable Arts figurine brings together these two key facets of her character. The pose with her staff depicts a warrior capable of accompanying the group into the most dangerous areas of Midgar, whilst the praying pose evokes her Cetra heritage and her deep connection to the planet.
