Add the Crown Prince of Lucis to your collection with this Adorable Arts figurine of Noctis Lucis Caelum, inspired by his appearance in the video game Final Fantasy XV. Produced by Square Enix, this figure features a ‘chibi’ style with compact proportions, whilst retaining the character’s dark outfit, distinctive hairstyle and iconic weapon.

Noctis is depicted with a deliberately enlarged head, large blue eyes and a thick mane of bluish-black hair. The numerous pointed strands are sculpted separately to recreate his tousled hairstyle, whilst his long fringe falls partially over his eyes.

The figure features his all-black outfit, consisting of a short-sleeved jacket worn over a dark top, cropped trousers and high-top boots. The pockets, seams, straps, buckles and various textures of the costume remain visible despite the compact stylisation of the range.

One of the main attractions of this edition lies in its interchangeable parts. Noctis can be displayed holding the Motorised Blade, his iconic sword, or using his mobile phone. 

In the weapon configuration, Noctis holds the Motorised Blade in front of him. The sword features a high level of detail, with a long silver blade, a mechanical guard and numerous sculpted ornaments around the hilt. The frontal pose gives the character a determined air, whilst retaining the soft proportions of the Adorable Arts collection.

The second pose shows him in a more everyday stance, with one hand on his hip and the other holding his mobile phone to his ear. This pose evokes the lighter moments of Noctis’s journey and contrasts with his role as a warrior and royal heir.

Character background and universe

Noctis Lucis Caelum is the protagonist of Final Fantasy XV and the rightful heir to the throne of Lucis. The son of King Regis, he grew up in a kingdom protected by the Crystal, a source of power coveted by the Niflheim Empire. Square Enix officially presents him as the Crown Prince of Lucis.

At the start of the story, Noctis leaves the capital with his three closest companions: Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia and Prompto Argentum. Their journey is initially intended to lead up to his marriage to Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, a union designed to cement a peace treaty.

The situation takes a dramatic turn when Niflheim attacks Insomnia and seizes the Crystal. Noctis also learns of his father’s impending death and suddenly finds himself stripped of his kingdom. The journey with his friends then becomes a quest to reunite the ancient royal weapons, strengthen his powers and reclaim what is rightfully his.

Noctis has the ability to summon and manipulate various weapons. He can make them appear around him, hurl them at his enemies and teleport instantly to their location using the Eclipse technique. The Motorised Blade included with this figure is one of the weapons most closely associated with his appearance.

Despite his royal status, Noctis is often reserved, uncomfortable with formal ceremonies and more interested in simple moments spent with his friends. In particular, he enjoys fishing, video games and travelling in the Regalia, the royal car used by the group to explore the world of Eos.

His mobile phone also features regularly throughout the adventure. It allows him to stay in touch with certain characters, receive information and highlight the contrast between the prince’s extraordinary responsibilities and the ordinary habits of a young man his age.

His relationship with his companions forms the emotional heart of the game. Gladiolus looks after his physical training and his royal duties, Ignis organises the journey and offers him advice, whilst Prompto strives to maintain the group’s light-heartedness and camaraderie.

As the story unfolds, Noctis must come to terms with the fact that becoming king means more than simply claiming a throne. He must understand the weight of the sacrifices made before him and prepare to protect the world from the darkness wrought by Ardyn Izunia.

This Adorable Arts figurine effectively captures both sides of the character. The motorised blade represents the warrior prince and future king, whilst the mobile phone evokes the young traveller still sharing everyday moments with his friends before fully embracing his destiny.
