Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Sophie Sheridan lives on the Greek island paradise of Kalokairi, where her mother, Donna, runs a run-down inn by herself. As her wedding to her fiancé Sky approaches, the young woman feels a deep need to discover the identity of her biological father so that he can walk her down the aisle. After secretly discovering her mother's old diary, she decides to secretly invite Donna's three lovers from the past: Sam, Bill and Harry. This family imbroglio, punctuated by the timeless and legendary songs of the Swedish group ABBA, will turn the life of the island upside down and celebrate the themes of filiation, reconciliation and love in all its forms.
