Origin and world of the character (Lore)Created by writer David Morrell and immortalised on screen by Sylvester Stallone, John Rambo is a veteran of the Vietnam War and former member of the US Army's Special Forces (Green Berets). In the second film released in 1985, Rambo: First Blood Part II, he is released from prison to return to the Vietnamese jungle to locate missing American prisoners of war. Betrayed by his superiors and left to fend for himself in enemy territory, he employs his guerrilla and infiltration techniques. A compound bow fitted with explosive-tipped arrows becomes his weapon of choice, enabling him to discreetly eliminate or destroy enemy installations. This figure faithfully captures the military aesthetic of combat.
