Character background and lore
Jacob Black is one of the central characters in the Twilight saga. A childhood friend of Bella Swan, he is a member of the La Push community and gradually becomes one of Bella’s main allies when she discovers the existence of the supernatural world around her.
Jacob is able to take the form of a huge wolf and is part of the pack responsible for protecting their territory from the vampires who pose a threat. His rivalry with Edward Cullen, linked in particular to the feelings they both harbour for Bella, is one of the saga’s major storylines.
The quote chosen for this POP! figure comes from *The Twilight Saga: New Moon*. When he finds Bella, Jacob utters the now-famous line : ‘Where the hell have you been, loca?’. Over time, this line of dialogue has far outstripped the confines of the film to become a recurring humorous reference amongst Twilight fans.
