Origin and world of the character

The character of Spider-Man (Peter Parker) comes from the Marvel Comics universe, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko in 1962. This action figure was inspired by the famous and controversial comic book period entitled Spider-Man:Brand New Day, published from 2008 onwards. Following on from the dramatic events of One More Day, this story arc marks a major reboot and a return to his roots for the up-and-comer. Peter Parker is once again single, facing daily financial problems and hunted by the NYPD as an illegal vigilante. This era introduces a whole new gallery of devious antagonists (such as Mister Negative and Menace) and breathes a modern, humorous and resolutely urban dynamic into the superhero's adventures.
