Meet Gaear Grimsrud, one of the two kidnappers at the heart of *Fargo*, with this Funko POP! Movies figurine No. 2127. Inspired by the Coen brothers’ cult film released in 1996, this vinyl figure captures the wintry look of the character played by Peter Stormare. The figure stands approximately 10.8 cm tall.
The design depicts Gaear wearing his imposing brown chapka, beard, dark jacket, light-coloured clothing and gloves suited to the Minnesota cold. The accessories he holds in his hands directly reference the particularly dark events of the film’s final act, whilst being rendered in the exaggerated style characteristic of Funko POP! figurines.
Made from PVC/vinyl, this figurine comes in the traditional Funko POP! Movies display box, bearing the number 2127. It is a must-have for film collectors, fans of the Coen brothers’ work and, in particular, fans of Fargo.

Character background and lore
Gaear Grimsrud is one of the main criminals in *Fargo*, a film written by Joel and Ethan Coen and released in 1996. Played by Peter Stormare, he works alongside Carl Showalter, played by Steve Buscemi. The two men are hired by car salesman Jerry Lundegaard to kidnap his own wife, Jean, with the aim of obtaining a ransom from her wealthy father-in-law.
Unlike the very talkative Carl, Gaear is characterised by his silence, his detachment and his extreme violence. This contrast between the two kidnappers plays a major part in the film’s black humour. Their operation, initially conceived as a simple kidnapping, quickly spirals out of control and leads to a series of crimes on the snow-covered roads of Minnesota. Police Chief Marge Gunderson then begins to track them down.
The character is most closely associated with one of Fargo’s most famous final scenes, whose macabre imagery stands in stark contrast to the tranquillity of the snow-covered landscape. This sequence played a major part in making Gaear Grimsrud one of the film’s most memorable characters. POP! No. 2127 draws its inspiration specifically from this wintry appearance and this part of the story.
