Origin and background of the character
Ulysses, also known as Odysseus, is the king of Ithaca and the central hero of *The Odyssey*, the ancient epic traditionally attributed to Homer. After the Trojan War, he embarks on a long journey to return to his kingdom and his family.
Renowned for his intelligence, prudence and strategic genius, Ulysses must face numerous dangers during his journey. His voyage is notably marked by mythological creatures, supernatural phenomena and the regular intervention of the Greek gods.
This figurine is based on the character’s portrayal in the film, dressed in warrior’s garb, emphasising his role as a leader and warrior at the heart of this great epic. The licence is associated with the film *The Odyssey*, distributed by Universal Pictures.
