See Spider-Man in one of his most iconic poses with this POP! Deluxe figure No. 1462, designed by Funko. This edition depicts the Marvel hero hanging upside down in the centre of a web, in a more elaborate composition than that of a classic POP! figure.

Spider-Man wears his traditional red and blue suit, recognisable by its black web pattern and large white eyes ringed in black. Suspended by a thread attached to his feet, he adopts an inverted position above his oversized head, characteristic of the Funko style. The design gives the impression that he has just descended from the rooftops of New York to survey his surroundings.

The figure is set within a backdrop depicting a thick spider’s web stretched between two brick walls and several pipes. The numerous sculpted threads form a textured background that frames the character and transforms the whole piece into a veritable miniature scene. A base mimicking an urban pavement ensures the stability of the composition.

Character background and lore

Peter Parker is a young scientist who acquires spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. In particular, he develops superhuman strength and agility, the ability to cling to surfaces, and a special sense that warns him of imminent danger. Thanks to his intelligence, he also designs his own web-shooters to swing between buildings and neutralise his enemies.

After learning the hard way that his powers come with a responsibility towards others, Peter chooses to become Spider-Man and protect the people of New York. However, he must constantly strike a balance between his life as a hero, his studies, his job and his personal relationships.
