Shigeo Kageyama, nicknamed "Mob", is the main protagonist of the manga and animated adaptation Mob Psycho 100, created by author ONE. Although he appears to be an ordinary, reserved and self-effacing schoolboy, he is in reality an esper (a being with psychic powers) of colossal power. To avoid losing control of his destructive telekinetic abilities, Shigeo unconsciously suppresses his emotions on a daily basis. However, when his accumulated emotional charge reaches the critical 100% threshold, his mind is unleashed, unleashing the full extent of his psychic power. He works part-time as an apprentice to Reigen Arataka, a charlatan and self-proclaimed exorcist, who guides him through his adolescent questions.
