Mikado Momodera is the main protagonist of the dark fantasy manga Tougen Anki (also spelt Tougan Anki), created by Yura Urushibara. The plot is a contemporary take on the famous Japanese folk tale of Momotaro. In this world, an age-old conflict pits the descendants of the Oni (demons) against those of the Momotaro (demon hunters). Mikado, a teenager with a passion for firearms, suddenly discovers that he possesses Oni blood after a brutal attack turns his life upside down. Taken in by the Luo Academy, a secret organisation dedicated to training young Oni, he learns to control and turn his own cursed blood into weapons to defend himself. Driven by a desire for vengeance and justice, he engages in rigorous combat to protect his comrades and put an end to the extremist assaults of the opposing clan.
