Kuina Sazanami is a character from the dark fantasy action manga Tougen Anki (also spelt Tougan Anki), written and drawn by Yura Urushibara. The story revolves around a secret, ruthless war in modern-day Japan between the descendants of the Oni clan (demons) and those of the Momotaro clan (demon hunters). In this universe, the Oni have the innate ability to transform their own blood into weapons or superhuman physical abilities. Kuina Sazanami is a member of the Luo Academy, a confidential organisation and training centre designed to collect, educate and protect young Oni, teaching them to master their cursed blood in the face of external threats. Alongside her comrades, she plays an active role in strategic operations and rigorous combat against the extremist factions of the opposing clan.
