Character background and lore

Kanshi Kazamatsuri is one of the main characters in *Witch Watch*, a manga created by Kenta Shinohara. He is a tengu, a supernatural creature from Japanese folklore, and possesses abilities that set him apart from the other members of the group.

Kanshi is characterised by an extroverted, talkative and highly energetic personality. His temperament brings a strong comic element to the series, particularly in his interactions with Morihito, who is much more serious and reserved.

He gradually becomes part of Nico Wakatsuki’s inner circle and finds himself caught up in numerous situations blending everyday life, magic and supernatural phenomena. Despite his sometimes exuberant nature, Kanshi proves to be loyal and ready to help his friends when the going gets tough.
