Journey through the Woods of the Unknown to the mysterious village of Pottsfield with this POP! Animation No. 2548 figurine dedicated to Enoch, the imposing pumpkin-headed leader from the mini-series Over the Garden Wall. His long, slender arms meet in front of his torso. The hands, highly stylised, are clasped in a calm posture befitting his position of authority in Pottsfield. The absence of visible legs and the seamless transition between the garment and the floor reinforce his monumental appearance. Character background and universe (Lore)

Over the Garden Wall is an animated mini-series created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network. It follows two half-brothers, Wirt and Greg, who are lost in a mysterious forest known as the Unknown. Accompanied by the blue bird Beatrice, they travel through several strange places in the hope of finding their way home.

Enoch appears mainly in the second episode, ‘Hard Times at the Huskin’ Bee’, translated into French as ‘Les Mystérieux habitants de Pottsfield’. Wirt, Greg and Beatrice then discover a rural community holding a harvest festival amidst fields and autumnal decorations.

The inhabitants of Pottsfield wear pumpkins for heads and clothes made from plant materials. Their polite behaviour, traditional dances and peaceful way of life initially create a welcoming atmosphere, but several details soon suggest that the village conceals a darker reality.

Enoch is the village leader. His imposing stature immediately sets him apart from the other inhabitants, and his word carries authority both during ceremonies and when passing judgement. In particular, he decides on the punishment to be imposed on Wirt and Greg after the two brothers have disrupted the village’s activities.

The heroes are sentenced to a few hours of manual labour. They must dig holes in a field, a task they initially interpret as the preparation of their own graves. The discovery of buried skeletons seems to confirm their fears.

However, the scene takes a different turn when the skeletons rise and don plant-themed costumes and pumpkin heads. The villagers were not, therefore, asking the boys to dig their graves, but to unearth new participants for the festival. Satisfied with this ‘harvest’, Enoch finally allows Wirt, Greg and Beatrice to leave Pottsfield.

Before they leave, Enoch hints that they too will return to the village one day. This remark deliberately maintains the mystery surrounding Pottsfield, its inhabitants and the true nature of the Unknown.

The character perfectly encapsulates the distinctive tone of *Over the Garden Wall*. His design evokes traditional autumnal décor, whilst his stature, measured voice and fixed smile instil a sense of vague unease. He does not act like a classic antagonist: he welcomes the travellers, imposes his community’s rules upon them, and then lets them go once their debt has been paid.

This Funko figurine captures this duality perfectly. His warmly coloured pumpkin and calm demeanour make him ideal for autumnal décor, whilst his toothy grin and plant-like silhouette retain the quiet strangeness that characterises Enoch and the inhabitants of Pottsfield.
