The eccentric Beetlejuice joins Funko’s Pop! Movies collection in an original Patchwork version. Inspired by the world of Tim Burton’s cult film, this figure reimagines the famous bio-exorcist as a patchwork doll, featuring mismatched colours and numerous deliberately irregular details.

Beetlejuice is depicted with his tousled hair and his iconic vertically striped suit. However, this edition replaces his usual appearance with a patchwork of black, white, purple and green patterns, accompanied by visible stitching across his face and outfit.

His asymmetrical face is one of the key features of this version. A button-shaped eye, contrasting patches of fabric and a sewn-up mouth emphasise his strange appearance, whilst the various painted textures give the impression of a character pieced together from bits of dolls.

Made from vinyl, the figurine stands approximately 11.2 cm tall. It is presented in an illustrated window box bearing the number 2119, allowing it to be displayed with or without its packaging.

Character background and lore

Beetlejuice is a mischievous and uncontrollable spirit from the eponymous film directed by Tim Burton. He presents himself as a bio-exorcist capable of helping ghosts to haunt the living, but his unpredictable methods and dangerous behaviour quickly make him impossible to control.

In the film, the young newlyweds Adam and Barbara Maitland die in an accident and find themselves trapped in their own house. When a new family, the Deetzes, move in, the Maitlands try unsuccessfully to scare them away. They eventually call upon Beetlejuice, despite numerous warnings about his character.

Once summoned, Beetlejuice takes advantage of the situation to wreak havoc. He takes a particular interest in Lydia Deetz, the family’s teenage daughter, who has the ability to see ghosts. His aim is to marry her so that he can return to the world of the living permanently.

Recognisable by his striped suit, greenish hair and macabre sense of humour, Beetlejuice has the ability to alter his appearance and his surroundings. He turns every appearance into a grotesque spectacle, blending horror, black humour and supernatural effects.
