Origin and world of the character
The character of Gumball Watterson (real name Zac Watterson) is the central protagonist of the Franco-American-British animated series TheAmazing World of Gumball, created by Ben Bocquelet in 2011 for Cartoon Network. The series stands out for its revolutionary visual style, mixing traditional 2D animation, 3D CGI, puppets and real sets. Set in the eccentric town of Elmore, the series follows the daily life of Gumball, a 12-year-old anthropomorphic blue kitten with a vivid imagination and an innate talent for getting into trouble. Despite his immaturity and regular mischief, his big heart and loyalty to his extraordinary family make him one of the most modern and funny figures in contemporary animation.
